Rafael Teixeira, President of World Courier and ICS, is a leader with a strong passion for associate engagement and organizational culture aimed to foster a work environment that encourages cross-functional collaboration and innovation. His experience working in a variety of global healthcare markets will be tremendously beneficial to the team.

 

Rafa joined AmerisourceBergen in 2014 as head of strategy for ICS and then helped lead AmerisourceBergen’s entry into Brazil’s healthcare market as President of Profarma Specialty, where he improved operating income by 500% in three years. Most recently, he was SVP, Transformation under Al Morales, where he supported strategic initiatives for World Courier, ICS, MWI and Xcenda.  Additionally, Rafa serves on the board of Brazilian distributor and retail chain operator Profarma SA (PFRM-BR).

 

Before coming to AmerisourceBergen, Rafa was a Project Leader at The Boston Consulting Group, where he led World Courier’s business strategy review as well as other projects focused on strategy, operations and supply chain.

 

Previous to this, Rafa held various positions at The Coca-Cola Company and holds an undergraduate degree, as an Industrial and Civil Engineer, from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio) and an MBA degree from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
