Africa Supply Chain Forum
Join World Courier at Africa Supply Chain Forum
Date: January 31 – February 2, 2024
Location: The Mövenpick Hotel, Nairobi, Kenya
The Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) — in collaboration with the African Vaccine Manufacturing (PAVM) Secretariat and the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI) — will convene a forum. This gathering will bring together African vaccine manufacturers, material suppliers, and other stakeholders. The aim is to spotlight challenges, explore potential solutions, and attract investment.
The event will concentrate on creating strategies and suggestions for fair and secure access to raw materials and consumables essential for local production. This collective effort is key to fostering local manufacturing capabilities to buttress epidemic readiness.
This forum will focus on four objectives:
-
Identifying the key manufacturing supply chain needs and challenges of African vaccine manufacturers (with a special focus on access to key input materials, such as raw materials and consumables)
-
Developing new strategies to secure input material access and availability, both for routine immunization and in case of outbreak
-
Determining key barriers and requirements to successfully implementing the identified solutions (for example, considering trade regulations and customs procedures)
-
Developing a roadmap to action outlining the implementation of the identified strategies as well as options for stakeholder engagement and support
Panel session
Joining the session ‘Addressing identified bottlenecks: Strategies to reduce delays and improve free flow of goods’ will be World Courier’s Paula Pulsoni, VP of Sales and Services.
